Our Story

Walking the Coast with Purpose

corradioutdoorliving Ltd started with a simple idea: outdoor adventures shouldn't have an age limit. We're here to make coastal trails accessible, enjoyable, and safe for older adults throughout Cork.

Who We Are

Experience Meets Accessibility

We're a team of outdoor enthusiasts and accessibility specialists who've been working with older adults in Cork since 2019. Our founder spent years watching people she loved give up on hiking because trails seemed too difficult or too risky. That changed everything.

Now we've guided over 1,200 people through coastal walks — from the dramatic cliffs of Ballycotton to hidden gems along Cork's shoreline. We don't believe getting older means the adventure stops. It just means doing it smarter.

What started as weekend walks has become something bigger. We've mapped routes, trained guides, and built a community of people who prove age is just a number when you've got the right support and the right trail.

What We Offer

Built for You

Every program, route, and guideline we've created comes from years of listening to what actually works for active older adults.

Carefully Mapped Routes

We've walked every trail ourselves. You'll know exactly what to expect — the grade, the distance, where you can rest, and where the views are worth pausing for.

Trained Guides

Our guides aren't just locals. They're trained in first aid, terrain assessment, and — most importantly — how to make walks enjoyable, not stressful.

Safety First, Always

Small groups, proper pacing, accessible facilities, and contingency plans. We've thought through the details so you don't have to worry.

Detailed Resources

Hiking guides, stretching routines, gear recommendations, and trail difficulty assessments. Knowledge makes confidence. We share both.

How We Work

Our Four-Step Method

We've refined our approach through hundreds of walks. Here's what you get every time.

1

Understand Your Needs

Before any walk, we talk with you. Fitness level, past injuries, pace preferences, what you want to see. We're not guessing — we're planning.

2

Match You With the Right Trail

We've got trails from "gentle coastal stroll" to "real challenge." Your guide will choose based on exactly what works for you — not a generic difficulty rating.

3

Guide You With Expertise

Small groups mean real attention. Your guide watches pacing, offers history and local knowledge, and adjusts on the fly if needed.

4

Learn for Next Time

After the walk, we debrief. What went well? What would you do differently? That feedback shapes your next adventure with us.

What Drives Us

Our Core Principles

These aren't corporate buzzwords. They're what we actually do, every single day.

Respect Your Pace

There's no "normal" hiking speed. We move at your pace, pause where you want, and celebrate the distance you cover — not some arbitrary benchmark.

Celebrate All Levels

Whether it's your first walk or your hundredth, you belong here. We're not judging fitness. We're sharing the outdoors with people who care about being there.

Keep It Accessible

Good guides, clear information, reasonable costs, and trails that don't require special equipment. Outdoor adventures shouldn't be gatekept by money or mystique.

Build Community

Trails are better with company. We're creating connections between people, building friendships that extend beyond the walk itself.

Our Commitment

More Than Just Walks

corradioutdoorliving Ltd isn't in the business of ticking boxes. We're in the business of creating moments. Moments when someone rediscovers what they thought they'd lost. Moments when a group of strangers becomes a walking community. Moments when the view from a coastal cliff feels worth every step.

We're expanding beyond Ballycotton. We're mapping new trails, training new guides, and building resources for independent hikers. But the core mission stays the same: prove that outdoor adventure doesn't have an expiration date.
